Our Story... Level Nine Technology Consulting, LLC was founded by Nathaniel “Nate” Galimore, a diversely skilled technologist with over 10 years of experience in the Information Technology industry. With several certifications from leading technology organizations such as Microsoft, Dell, and Comptia, over the course of his career, Nate has provided creative, streamlined and highly praised solutions for small and medium sized businesses to large corporations and government agencies. For several years he worked for various IT consulting firms contributing to large scale projects for companies such as, General Motors, Smith Barney, the US Senate, and New York State Department of Corrections. Nate’s expertise includes areas such as Web server administration, enterprise server environments, Microsoft operating systems, MS SQL Server, graphic design, and IT project management. He began his career working as a systems administrator with a Vermont-based newspaper. Nate went on to work as a Project/IS Manager with a retailer, where responsibilities included WAN and LAN resource management and security, SQL database management, and point of sale (POS), accounting and warehousing workstation setup and maintenance. He also installed and configured an enterprise digital phone system. Leveraging advanced knowledge of and certifications in Microsoft technologies, he branched out as an independent IT consultant contracting with companies such as Merrill Lynch, General Motors and Solomon Smith Barney where he worked on several initiatives: · Serving as a key member of teams that led nation-wide site survey, installation, test, turn up and cut-over of a VPN project for Merrill Lynch. This also included the configuration of TCP/IP protocols, testing of Cisco routing and switching equipment and VPN hardware from Avaya. · Participating in a nation-wide enterprises server upgrade for General Motors, installing and configuring Windows 2000 servers to replace old NT4 systems. · Managed seven different teams of 7-10 installation technicians executing a migration of NT4 servers to Windows server 2003 for seven Smith Barney offices across New York State. Most recently, Nate’s consulting work has included high-level systems administration and applications support, implementation of MS ISA 2006 Enterprise Proxy Servers, a successful datacenter relocation, oversight of a state-wide 200+ server, 6000+ client MS Windows\Citrix Enterprise class infrastructure, and web application and database integration. Building on the success of his consulting work and responding to the growing demand for his services, Level Nine Technology Consulting was established, offering clients a highly customer oriented platform for delivery of IT services.
